Not to be confused with short bedding varieties, our BIG LUSCIOUS cut-flower dahlias produce armloads of brilliant long-stemmed blooms from mid-summer to frost — and our ready-to-transplant gallon-size plants give you a JUMP START on blooms this year!
We pre-started these dahlias from #1 size tuber clumps, which will produce LOTS of flowers on long, strong stems. We selected these varieties to add to our own dahlia field this year because they’re the colors our florists can’t get enough of — and neither can we!!
OUR 2025 SELECTIONS
American Dawn - Bred for its amazing color, sturdy stems and abundance flower production. Unique 4-5” blooms with plum centers and reverse petals; dark foliage.
Boom Boom White - Large plants with creamy 4-6” white ball-shaped flowers on tall stems. Really shines in bouquets!
Cornell Bronze - Perfectly formed stunning 4” bronze ball-shaped blooms on sturdy 3 1/2’ tall plants. No staking needed!
Ivanetti - Plants are loaded with rich 3” berry-hued blooms all season. Long, strong stems and weather-resistant flowers make them a fantastic cut flower.
Labyrinth - Deep peach and raspberry 6-7” blooms look like a watercolor! Blooms a bit later in the season, but these dazzling flowers are SO worth the wait!
Red Labyrinth - An absolute standout in gardens and bouquets! 7-8” vibrant blooms steal will steal the show and attract tons of butterflies. Semi-shade enhances the colors.
Great Hercules - Lush, full 8” warm-toned flowers light up the landscape (and bouquets!) summer into fall. The strikingly impressive plant can reach 5’+ height.
Cafe au Lait - The undisputed Queen of Dahlias, and for good reason! VERY large fluffy blooms are SO highly sought after by floral designers and home gardeners alike. Be sure to cut every stem nice and long to encourage the plant to send up even MORE blooms.
HOW TO GROW
Dahlias are sun lovers and bloom best with 8 hours of full sun (some afternoon shade is also OK). Carefully transplant at the same depth as they are in the gallon pot. Space 18-24” apart. Be sure to add a strong stake when you plant.
When plants are 12” tall, cut the main growing stems back by 4”, right above a leaf node (yes, even if there’s a bud on the stem!). This way your plants branch out and produce A LOT more blooms! Water deeply 2-3 times a week and fertilize with a fertilizer that promotes flower blooms every 2-3 weeks.
Ht: 36-48”
