‘Scrumdidleyumptious’ is a rare & striking Itoh peony, producing massive 6” semi-double and double blooms that transition from blush with a cerise pink center to peachy apricot with a bit of sherbet yellow. It also has an even longer period of bloom than the typical Itoh (which already has an extended bloom time), because it has an EXTRA one or two lateral buds per stem, which bloom after the first bud.
YES, I admit, this one is expensive, even by Itoh standards — that’s because it’s a rare, slow-propagating hybrid that took years to develop and remains in high demand with limited supply. And THAT’S why I had to get it for you!
Fragrance: Gentle
Bloom Time: Mid-season
Height: 24-36” tall and wide after a few years; this lush plant won’t need staking

HOW TO GROW
We include complete growing advice with every order but for now, plan to plant your peony roots in the ground right away in a spot that receives full sun and has good drainage. In very hot climates, peonies don’t mind some afternoon shade.
If you can’t plant them right away, keep the roots in their bag in a cool, dark and dry spot. A cool garage should work great. But don’t forget about them — they need to be planted before the ground freezes.
Peonies thrive in Zones 3 to 8.
